Why Do We Not Charge a Fee

WHY DON'T WE CHARGE A FEE FOR MORTGAGE ADVICE?

We've been offering Mortgage Advice since 1993 and never charged a broker fee. The broker fee became popular amongst brokers after the 'credit crunch' of 2008. Mortgage Brokers found it increasingly difficult to place mortgage business and in order to survive had to introduce fees. Now that the Mortgage Market has bounced back, you'd think that the fees would disappear, but I guess once you've started charging them, it's hard to stop.

So why don't we charge fees? - There are two reasons

Firstly. Let's say we go and see a client for the first time. We have a chat and we do a quote and everything looks good. Let's say I've done the research and I think Barclays is the lender we should use. At this point if we charged a fee, the client thinks I now know who I need to do my mortgage with. Why should I use the broker and pay an extra £495, when I can just call in to a local branch and see a Barclays Mortgage Adviser. We don't create that dilemma for our clients, because it costs you no more to use us and we can do it all for you, in the comfort of your home.

Secondly. Because we don't charge broker fees, we get lot's of referrals and as a result, we don't have to spend as much money advertising. This means that our cost of acquiring new business is lower. So in the end, we probably earn as much as a broker that charges fees because we keep our costs lower. That's a win - win for us and our clients.

You will get the same level of advice and the same mortgage as if you paid us a fee.
